The Mair dynasty: 300 Years at the Pretzhof

Hanns Mayr, who came from Brenner, bought the “high house” from Christian Prez on the 10th of April, 1695. The Pretzhof has been in family hands for nine generations, all the way down to the present owners Karl and Ulli Mair. In 1988, the house was granted the status as an “Erbhof” (i.e. a listed estate) because it had been preserved and left untouched for over 200 years in family hands.
